My Adventures With MIL
I have been close to my MIL (Mother-in-Law) since the moment I met her. Our relationship and interactions provide amusing sidebars to my normal day-to-day activity which I have failed to capture in any type of lasting format. I will try to remember some of the more entertaining episodes from the past in this blog while also capturing our new adventures in the future!

The REAL Social Network
It finally happened. The MIL not only ventured out on her own to the mailboxes (which she has proudly been doing for about a month now) but she hung out on the bench there while she waited for Jonathan to pick her up one day. While there it happened. That's right the Senior Citizen version of social networking happened...the MIL met one of her neighbors that was coming to get mail as well. It happened to be her next door neighbor so it was a big score! I think the real lesson learned here is that Social Networking has been around a long time...much longer than MySpace, LinkedIn, Facebook....just checking your mail, making yourself available to others, greeting people with a smile. I guess that a good lesson to learn from the MIL is that we can still network the old-fashioned way by just talking to people...in person!

By Popular Demand
I have been talking about my adventures with MIL (that's Mother-in-Law for those of you not in the know) via Facebook for quite some time now. I am certainly not a writer and do not expect to become one from creating this blog. However, quite a few friends and family members have suggested that I start capturing these little treasures of interactions with the MIL in a book. I thought a book seemed rather aspirational considering my previous comment that I am certainly not a writer. I do think that I can keep up with a blog, though.
So....by popular demand...the blog has begun. Hopefully, the MIL will have many more years to entertain us all and I can capture the adventures (or misadventures as they may be) for quite some time!
